Klaas Vonk<\/b><\/a><\/span>22<\/a><\/sup>Note: FamilySearch Family Tree (and New.FamilySearch) has Lena Bax married to a Klaas Jans Vonk (b. 1824 in Friesland), but there is no source and they don\u2019t have a marriage record. On the face of it, this is very unlikely as Friesland is a great distance from Zuid-Holland. But Klaas and Lena\u2019s marriage record is definitive proof that the Friesland Klaas Vonk is wrong: in the record of their marriage on 19 Sep 1849 in Gorinchem, Zuid-Holland, it states Klaas was age 44 of Oudshoorn<\/strong> and Lena was age 29 from Wijk bij Heusen.<\/span>\u00a0was born 22 May 1805 at Alphen aan den Rijn, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands; christened 26 May 1805 at Alphen aan den Rijn. He married 10 Jul 1907 at Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland Grietje Roggeveen<\/b><\/a>, the daughter of Willem Johannes Roggeveen and Cornelia Clara Serrij. The family immigrated to the United States (Utah) in 1931. She was born 27 May 1887 in Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland and died 20 Dec 1970 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.
